Thanksgiving Alphabet Printable Page

This is a printable Thanksgiving alphabet page. Each letter has an accompanying Thanksgiving-related word and picture.

I love using alphabet pages like this during Basket Time with my kiddos
(where we sing songs, update our calendar, discuss the weather, read
poems, review the alphabet, and read stories). First, the kids like to pick
their favorite pictures and talk about them. Then I ask them to point to
each letter as we sing the alphabet song (as slowly as their little fingers
require as they search for each letter). Sometimes they like to sing the
words instead of the letters.

Alphabet pages like this have the following benefits:
- expose kids to the alphabet in an engaging way;
- introduce vocabulary words (e.g. “indigenous” and “cornucopia”);
- provoke conversation about seasons and activities;
- introduce the mechanics of reading right-to-left and moving from one
line to the next;
- expose children to letters written in different fonts.
